I did it! 50,000 words in April during this Camp NaNoWriMo!
While writing at home, no less – I defeated the great dragon of distraction just in time! Isn’t that epic? 💪😂
As always, my daily wordage wasn’t where I wanted it to be 😅
There is that perfect line on the word graph that I dream to follow – the 1667 words a day line – and of course by day 2 I’d gone off trail already 😆 All roads lead to Rome in the end, though. And I got there, that’s what counts!
This is only – only, she said, ha! – 50k, and I’m not nearly done with the third draft of TW, so I plan to continue writing every day and keep that streak going. The only difference is, I’ll be writing less words per day. Like, way less. I’m a slow writer, that’s just how I roll 😉
Because I’m not done with my draft, I don’t have the sense of accomplishment of finishing something. But the winner’s certificate is nevertheless a nice thing to have 😁
